CESD Gets Barcoded Document Control System

Anyone associated with ISO 9000 standard knows that having a good document control system is a significant requirement of the standard. When CESD first decided to apply for registration to the ISO 9002 standard, they were faced with a dilemma. How were they going to control the massive number of procedures, microfiche, service manuals and other documentation needed to run their business. Their answer came with the news of a PC Based Electronic Document Control (EDC) System which utilised barcode technology, together with a 4GL database Package.
