Many organizations today deal with a large amount of merchandise that requires processing and transportation. Technology has come a long way in aiding these processes and vastly improving their accuracy whilst at the same time keeping the cost to the company at a minimum. The Intermec CK3X mobile computer is the latest innovation from Intermec. Through its adaptable and ergonomic design, the handheld computer can lead to increased productivity in the workplace whilst simultaneously being cost effective and simple to deploy.
The CK3X comes equipped with a choice of either a high motion tolerance 2D area imager or a 2D near/far area imager. The scanners are designed so that they are capable of fast motion scanning, meaning that employees can scan whilst continuing to move – saving valuable time in the long haul. Further they are capable of scanning in a range of directions ensuring that no matter which way the scanner is pointed to the barcode, it will still be able to read it. Their scanning capabilities don’t stop there however, with the scanner being very well adapted to reading worn out or damaged barcodes, something that is inevitable in a work place.
These scanner upgrades prove to be only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the CK3X handheld computer. The computer boasts an 802.11 a/b/g/n as well as a Bluetooth radio. A further attachment allows an RFID reader to be installed on the computer should it be required. For companies who already have existing handheld computers and wish to transition towards the CK3X, this process has been made easy through the use of Intermec’s CloneNGO device. This process allows a copy to be made of a previous unit that will store all the settings previously used. This clone can then be applied to all newer units, making the transition from old to new painless and simple for companies.
Intermec’s CK3X comes equipped with a Microsoft Windows operating system for handheld devices. As a result of this, it is compatible with many different applications and programs that may be required for a company’s warehouse. Once again, for those who already have existing CK3 computers, the latest CK3X is compatible with all accessories such as chargers and docking stations, once again reducing the cost to the consumer.
Being a computer to be used in a warehouse on the move, it is built rugged to avoid breaking and damage if dropped or exposed to harsh conditions. The CK3X has been tested and can withstand many drops from 1.5 meters onto a concrete floor. It is resistant against many operating temperatures and is not troubled by both rain and dust that may come with the job. It boasts a lengthy battery life that will last the shift, meaning that it won’t have to be charged in the middle of the day. Despite all these features, the computer shows none of the size and weight of similar computers. All this means that a company needs not return computers for repair, saving both time and cost and increasing efficiency.
Intermec’s CK3X handheld computer is the perfect choice for companies choosing to integrate new technology into their existing processes. With proven success, the CK3X can take your business to new heights.
