The Motorola MC9190-G operates in temperatures ranging from -20°C to +50°C and has an IP rating of IP64 making it one of the most rugged units on the market. The mobile computer has been drop tested to 6tf across the operating temperature range which meets and exceeds MIL-STD 810G.

The screen is a 3.7 inch high resolution backlight colour VGA touch-screen display for greater readability in any lighting conditions – from bright sunlight to total darkness. The screen also automatically rotates to match the orientation of the device to increase the display area as well as powers down when it has not been used for a predetermined length of time in order to save the battery.
