Melbourne January 30th 2014 – Gamma Solutions announces that Wavelink, a business unit of LANDesk Software has successfully completed Motorola Solutions’ Validated Program for Wavelink Speakeasy. This indicates to customers and partners that Speakeasy was successfully tested for compatibility with select Motorola ruggedized devices.
Wavelink Speakeasy is a speaker-independent, terminal emulation-based voice application for the warehouse. It provides a more flexible, efficient and safer alternative to traditional picking by enabling hands-free work, thus increasing worker productivity, accuracy and efficiency. A software-only solution hosted entirely on mobile devices rather than an external server, Speakeasy reduces network traffic and eliminates the need for expensive hardware changes. Existing terminal emulation applications can continue to be used, reducing voice implementation time from the industry standard of three to four months to less than 30 days, making application modifications simple, same-day procedures.
Motorola Solutions’ Validated Program enables eligible channel partners to test the interoperability of their software solutions with select Motorola Solutions’ mobile computers, scanners, RFID readers, payment systems, wireless infrastructure and mobility management software products. The program also helps partners meet user application-specific needs and reduce both the risk and the deployment time for the user.
Working closely with Motorola Solutions’ engineering teams, Wavelink has tested Speakeasy for interoperability with select products, including the WT4090, WT41N0, MC75A, MC3190, MC9190, MC9500, and VC70N0.
