What do you enjoy most about your role at Gamma Solutions?
Definitely the team I work with, I learn something new almost everyday which is saying something when I’ve been in the industry for over 3 decades. Special mention must go to our customers too. I have been privileged to meet some of the nicest people and I still get a high when our solutions are successfully deployed.
What’s a hobby or activity you enjoy outside of work that might surprise your colleagues?
Probably no surprise here, but golf is my passion. If NASA ever asked me to find water on Mars, they’d just need to send me up with my golf bag and my golf ball would find it. I’m a bit of a historian when it comes to certain conflicts/wars so I have quite an extensive book library which may surprise some.
If you could have dinner with any three people, dead or alive, who would they be?
Nelson Mandela, Morgan Freeman and my late father – boy that would be an interesting evening for sure!
What’s a recent book, podcast, or show that you’d recommend and what did you learn from it?
I’m a bit of a YouTube junkie so have learnt much about politics and the perfect golf swing – both of which still sadly elude me.
What’s one thing on your bucket list that you hope to accomplish one day?
I’m very fortunate that this industry has taken me to the four corners of the world. My final item on the bucket list is to take a 4×4 vehicle, my golf clubs, fishing rod and travel to Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia and Zambia on a 6 month African Fishing Odyssey. Getting off the grid would be awesome.
