What do you enjoy most about your role at Gamma Solutions?
What I enjoy most about my role as a Service Engineer is the opportunity to be out on site working directly with customers. I love the personal interaction, listening to their concerns, understanding their needs and tackling challenges head on, whether it’s a scanner, printer or wireless network issue. The moment I can hand back a fully working solution and see their satisfaction is the highlight of my day. It’s that connection and the ability to make a real difference that keeps me motivated and passionate about what I do.
What’s a hobby or activity you enjoy outside of work that might surprise your colleagues?
Outside of work, I wear many hats, sometimes literally under the sun. I’m a musician at heart, playing piano, guitar and bass, but the drums are where I really hit my stride. When I’m not making music, you’ll probably find me outdoors, camping, fishing, kayaking or exploring trails on foot. I also enjoy running to clear my head.
While I’m not exactly a basketball star on the court, I’ve found my calling on the sidelines. I coach a teenage basketball team.
If you could have dinner with any three people, dead or alive, who would they be?
I would choose to have dinner with my grandparents from both my mum’s and dad’s side along with my parents. To have all of them together at one table, sharing stories, laughter and a meal, would be a moment I’d treasure forever.
What’s a recent book, podcast or show that you’d recommend and what did you learn from it?
I’d recommend The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg. It really opened my eyes to how much of our lives are driven by habits, often without us even realising it. The book explains how habits are formed, how they can be changed and how small adjustments can create a big impact in our personal lives, at work and even across society.
What’s one thing on your bucket list that you hope to accomplish one day?
One day I will definitely explore Australia by land, taking the time to experience its diverse landscapes from stunning coastlines to the vast outback.
