What do you enjoy most about your role at Gamma Solutions?
Each day brings something different. A large portion of my role as Operations Manager involves dealing directly with our customers helping to problem solve challenges they are experiencing, to planning large scale projects they wish to implement. Other days I will be working with our team internally to improve processes and ensuring the Service and Warehouse departments run as smoothly as possible.
What’s a hobby or activity you enjoy outside of work that might surprise your colleagues?
I’m not sure my colleagues would be surprised by my hobbies I can talk about them a lot when I get started. 😊 My two biggest hobbies are reading and travel (whether it be long holidays, weekends away or even day trips to explore new areas, cultures, and food) I did enjoy growing our own fruits and vegetables but last year was a bit disheartened when possums broke through the netting of our closed in garden beds and ate absolutely everything. Hopefully, it won’t happen again this year.
If you could have dinner with any three people, dead or alive, who would they be?
My Gran, I miss her every day. Anthony Bourdain – he would know the best places to go, and I would love to hear all his stories. Rachael Catherine – so we can discuss books and laugh the whole time.
What’s a recent book, podcast, or show that you’d recommend and what did you learn from it?
Recently I have been reading more fiction work, specifically reading some fantasy books for the first time and really enjoying the escapism it brings. However, I would recommend Scott Pape and Dave Ramsey’s books on debt and finance to anyone who wants a simple guide to help improve their situation. They are great beginner books.
What’s one thing on your bucket list that you hope to accomplish one day?
I wish to travel with my family to see the Aurora Borealis and the Aurora Australis.
