QBOID S1 Accessory Features
The S1 combines the M2 with a built-in weight scale, an overhead 3D color sensor, and an external USB 1D/2D barcode scanner to enhance the functionality of the M2 parcel dimensioner.
With a quick scan of the item’s barcode placed on the scale, the S1 parcel dimensioner immediately records the item’s dimensions, weight, barcode, image, and shape all in one step. This data is then automatically transmitted to any chosen WMS, TMS, or ERP system without the need for touchscreen interaction. Additionally, the M2 can be removed at any point for mobile use, making it ideal for dimensioning large or irregular items that the scale can’t handle. This flexibility also makes it easy to handle dimensioner tasks in various operational settings.
3 STEP WORKFLOW
The S1 is even easier and faster to use than the M2, only requiring the operator to take one action: barcode scan the item. The M2 works with the S1 3D image sensor and weight scale to simultaneously and immediately detect, capture, save and upload the scan results immediately, with no user intervention required, achieving high item scan throughput. The S1 auto calibrates itself constantly in the background, no maintenance is required.
1. Place Item on Scale
Place item on scale surface. The S1 software will sense the item is present and prepare to scan.
2. Barcode Scan
Scan the desired barcode, and the S1 will simultaneously and automatically capture weight, dimensions and shape of the item, without any operator interaction.
3. Save/Upload
Remove the item from the scale surface, and Item Dim, Barcode, Shape, Raw and Background Subtracted Image are saved to local flash or sent in real-time via WiFi to networked server (JSON). The workflow is automatically reset and waiting for the next item to be placed on the scale.
